Manager Legal Services and Principal Lawyer

What I do at TASC

I coordinate and manage all aspects of the legal service to ensure the provision of high quality services to clients in accordance with service agreements, polices and TASC’s mission and values.  TASC provides free legal advice, information and limited representation and community legal education for the most vulnerable and marginalised members of the community.

Additionally as Principal Lawyer I ensure our services are compliant with Community Legal Centres Australia Risk Management Guide and relevant statutory obligations.

What I did before coming to TASC

I have a strong sense of,  and commitment to social justice which is reflected in my legal and health career.  Prior to commencing my legal career I was a registered nurse with experience in mental health, general and occupational nursing. My legal career started in medical negligence with Maurice Blackburn in Maroochydore and later as the Human Rights Lawyer with Queensland Advocacy Incorporated in Brisbane.

What are my academic achievements

I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and have obtained my Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Masters of Law.  All my academic degrees were through the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
